Bailey and I first met at Trinity University down in San Antonio, or so we thought. Unbeknownst to us at the time, we had actually gone to the same elementary school in Grapevine. She was just in the grade below me. Later on, we realized that we both regularly attended after-school care, and I used to play soccer with her younger brother at the end of the day.

It seems like it was always meant to be, and I can definitely say that it was. From one of our first dates, when we accidentally walked into a restaurant still wearing our bowling shoes, to proposing on top of a mountain in one of her grandpa's favorite places, our love has always been authentic.

Bailey is beautiful, faithful, compassionate, funny, intelligent, and everything good in the world. She constantly pushes me to be a better person, and there is never a day that goes by when I do not feel completely loved by her.

We have both fit perfectly into each other’s families. She has been indoctrinated into intense Pictionary games and the Neil Diamond Christmas album, and I have been introduced to chaotic rounds of Cards Against Humanity and an obsession with chips and salsa. But there is one thing about our families that we never had to get used to: ice cream trips after dinner. Some of my favorite dates with Bailey have been going to get ice cream, listening to music, and talking about our day. That is what is perfect about our love. It is the smallest moments that bring the greatest joy.

Having a lifetime full of those moments is what I look forward to most and what gives me the most excitement about our future. We are so lucky to have amazing friends and family around us, and we cannot wait to see you all in April 2026!
